Family Camp

We have just returned from the Kilbirnie family Camp.... We all had a fantastic time getting to know the Corps members a bit better and also leading them in some brainstorming time... Although I have to admit that at time it was my brain that we were storming but that is OK.

The Corps members that came to the camp are all really positive and excited about the potential that their Corps has which is really helpful.

We also had the opportunity to have some fun to and I have to admit that I joined in them all... Sometimes though I feel it was much to the surprise of some of the younger people.... I do enjoy the odd flying fox ride and hooning down a water slide from time to time ..... I'm not really that old and stuffy........

I do confess however that we forgot the camera which I was really annoyed about because I have just brought a new one and was looking forward to loading in some photos for family and friends to look out... Sorry guys maybe next time..

Some of the more regular programmes have started now and we find ourselves involved in leading some stuff and just attending other things. We are still doing the last of the tidying up but this is happening at a much slower pace. But I imagine I will be making a trip to the archives department at THQ shortly to deposit some records and so on.

I am preaching this Sunday and today we are having a at home day during which I am supposed to be finishing my sermon..... Which I really should get back to ..... but just before I do.. We had guest speakers on Sunday at the Family Camp and the chosen scripture was Philippians 1:27-2:11 and would you know it the scripture that I had already chosen for my preach this Sunday follows on directly Philippians 2:12-16. God works in wonderful and mysterious ways does he not........ Amen
